Dr. Gerd-Michael Würsig

Dr. Gerd-Michael Würsig is admaris‘ expert when it comes to alternative fuels. Already in 1996 his PhD thesis was discussing liquefied hydrogen propulsion for tanker. He was deeply involved in the development the IMO IGC-Code and until today he is involved in IGF Code developments. Gerd is working on safety analysis for new fuels and new energy converter such as fuel cell systems and is the author of the new reference work The Safety Principles for the Use of Low Flashpoint Fuels in Shipping. Gerd contributed to various ISO working groups and i.a. participated in the development of the ISO and SGMF LNG bunkering requirements and the SIGTTO work on LNG fires around gas carriers. Since early 90ies Gerd-Michel Würsig is a member of the process technology safety working group of the German chemical engineers society (DECHEMA).
