German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure
In multiple IMO Committee and Sub-Committee meetings, Stephan Assheuer has been acting as technical advisor to the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport . Jointly with DNV, admaris had been conducting a BMVI funded safety study on life saving appliances to verify the feasibility of IMO’s GBS safety level approach for the revision of SOLAS Chapter III. In October 2022 Stephan Assheuer chairs an IMO Intercessional Working Group conducting a HazId on SOLAS Chapter III on behalf of the Ministry.
Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia
For the improvement of its ranking in the PSC statistics and to regain the recognition of Georgian seafarer certificates by the EU, admaris conducted a gap analysis, implemented improvement measures and introduced a quality management system at the MTA, i.a. leading to the successful completion of an IMO VIMSAS audit. Recently admaris supported the MTA in the development of a maritime Strategy.
Bohlen & Doyen
Some operating conditions require unconventional approaches, admaris provides the solutions.
Bohlen & Doyen is operating a fleet of cable laying vessels for extremely shallow water. admaris is supporting Bohlen & Doyen by conducting analysis to ensure an equivalent level of safety and is negotiating operating conditions with Flag state, coastal state and class.
EMSA
In a consortium with the World Maritime University (WMU), admaris supports the Transposition, Implementation, and Enforcement following the Ratification of International Conventions – TIE(R) for Mediterranean Countries, Black Sea and Caspian Sea Countries.
GAP analysis have been conducted under the lead of admaris in Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
ClassNK
admaris supported ClassNK becoming a Recognized Organization for the German Flag. We facilitated the dialogue with the Administrations and complied the documentations required to be successfully recognized as RO and RSO for Germany.
CAM Luxembourg
Monitoring of Recognized Organizations is a challenge for smaller Flag State administrations. As the latest activity in a long co-operation, admaris supported the Commissariat aux Affaires Maritimes to develop a suitable RO monitoring regime.
German Dry Docks
For a conversion admaris conducted an evacuation analysis in accordance with IMO Circular MSC.1/Circ.1533 on request and to the satisfaction of the approving Flag State.
ADOMS
The Antigua & Barbuda Department of Marine Services and Merchant Shipping (ADOMS) is using admaris for support of their monitoring activities of Recognized Organizations. admaris developed a monitoring concept and conducted initial audits at all major IACS classification societies recognized by ADOMS.
